Sep 02: Digital and AI-enabled Social and Behavior Change

The Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Learning Group at MERL Tech CoP is hosting a session on September 2nd about Digital and AI-enabled Social and Behavior Change.

The Social and Behavior Change (SBCC) Summit took place in Panama earlier this summer. The Summit’s theme was “The Power of Connection: Reimagining Knowledge, Action and Equity in a Changing SBC Landscape.” There was a strong focus on how the landscape in which our organizations are working has rapidly changed over the past few years. Key sub-themes included challenging power structures and building relationships that prioritize the voices and leadership of those most directly impacted by the issues that SBC work aims to address.

iMedia and The MERL Tech Initiative led a workshop on AI and SBC early in the week. Then we spent the week attending sessions to learn more about how the Summit participants are using AI in their work. Read Linda’s blog here for some snippets and thoughts from the Summit.

Join us on September 2nd, at 11am ET, for an event where we’ll share what we learned and what it means for the SBC sector! At this meeting, we’ll be discussing some of the key Summit takeaways from:

  • Anastasia Mirzoyants, Strategy & Evidence Architect, Founder & CEO of Mirzoyants Management Consulting
  • Linda Raftree, MTI’s founder, who also works closely with iMedia.
  • You! If you attended the SBCC Summit and have an interest in digital and AI approach to MERL or use of these tools in SBC programs we’d love to hear from you during the session!
