What does building a feminist AI look like? A conversation with Chayn
The Gender, MERL and AI Working Group at the Natural Language Processing Community of Practice (NLP-CoP) is gathering on August 7, at 11 am EDT/5 pm CET for a conversation with Eva Blum-Dumontet, Head of Movement Building and Policy at Chayn.
Eva will be sharing more about one of their projects, which will be launched later this year, a “feminist AI initiative designed to empower survivors of image-based abuse to take down harmful online content”. The tool supports individuals who have been unable to remove their content through standard reporting channels by generating tailored takedown requests. In addition to showcasing the tool, Eva will demonstrate Chayn’s process of building a feminist AI that embeds their trauma-informed principles.
We’re excited to learn from Eva and welcome those interested in developing or working on AI using feminist principles to join us! Please register below (and make sure you sign up to join the NLP-CoP for more events like this!).
