Join the NLP-CoP’s ‘Custom Content Working Group’ for an exciting tutorial on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at (9am PDT / 12pm ET / 5pm UK / 6pm CET / 6pm SAST / 9:30 Delhi / 12am Manila).
Our speaker Amit Kohli, Head of Data Insights for Access Social Care, will walk you through how to create a simple yet powerful Question-Answering app using Streamlit, GitHub Codespaces, and the Hugging Face Transformers package.
We’ll explore how to customize the app with ChatGPT, enabling you to debug and enhance Streamlit applications. By the end of the tutorial, you’ll have the skills to tackle various NLP challenges!
There will be ample time for questions, and for sharing experiences, tips, ideas, and concerns.
Note: For this tutorial, we recommend that participants have some experience with Git/Github and Python.

The NLP-CoP welcomes all Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) practitioners and data practitioners interested in using text analytics approaches for MERL in the development, humanitarian, peacebuilding, and related social sectors. All MERL practitioners are welcome, no prior knowledge of text analytics is needed. Specialist data scientists and NLP specialists are also welcome. Working Group meetings will cover both technical and non-technical aspects; e.g. ethical and inclusive use.
